moe., Floodwood, & Ha Ha the Moose, 11/25 & 26/11, T5 & Sullivan Hall, NYC

moe., 11/25 & 26/11, Terminal 5, NYC
Floodwood, 11/26/11
& Ha Ha the Moose, 11/27/11, Sullivan Hall, NYC

Rob has a mustache.

Thanksgiving Run shows are a fantastic way to blow off the pent up steam of holiday stress, mostly because sitting at a table full of relatives for multiple hours can be incredibly difficult. However, this Thanksgiving, I spent the entire day in bed with an excruciating migraine. I'm not sure if it was less stressful than a Holiday Meal, but that depends on who is actually around the table, and how much one enjoys having the back of your skull bashed in with a baseball bat. It can vary from person to person. One thing is for sure: puking when you didn't earn it, is even more of a drag. Anyways, head-in-the-toilet, I wondered if potentially missing a moe. show at Terminal 5 due to physical incapacitation would make it an easier loss than say, if that moe. show were at the Hammerstein, or Roseland, or the Nokia Best Buy Theater.

The apprehension I have towards seeing any shows at Terminal 5 is equal to, if not greater than the stress I get at the prospect of loading-in a weekend full of camping equipment to Gelston Estate for moe.down. The venue is an obstacle. I fucking hate Terminal 5. The sound is awful, the sight-lines are worse, the drinks are horrendously overpriced (even for NYC), and it's a fucking death trap that needs better exits^.

Which is why I'm so happy to report that this Thanksgiving Run (possibly due to the fact that I scored sweet spots to watch both nights from), moe. bent Terminal 5 over and completely dominated it in an unforgiving and unrelenting power move that would make Jerry Sandusky blush.

FRIDAY, 11/25/11

Friday night started out with Happy Hour moe.jitos. By the time I was pried away from those, it continued with the last 10 minutes of Dumpstaphunk's set, which turned out to be plenty for me (Dumpstaphunk that is, not rum & sugar-- I could have easily been talked into more rum & sugar). Terminal 5 had the 3rd floor closed off, which was a shame, as one of the (only) best viewing locations in the venue is up there. We wound up on the floor, about 1/3 of the way back on chuck.side-- not a terrible alt. Shit, it's Terminal 5, I was ecstatic to see the stage at all. Not going deafer in one ear was a perk.

moe. started building the tension right out of the gate, with a lovely Skrunk -> Bullet -> a super dirty Downward Facing Dog -> a rainbowy socks NYC. Fresh off supporting Yonder Mountain String Band on their Fall Tour, Andy Falco from the Infamous Stringdusters joined the boys on a Telecaster for a kickin' Waiting for the Punchline. Ivan Neville from Dumpstaphunk appeared on keys for Can't You Hear Me Knockin', which was fun, but felt like an impending setbreak-- which it was. Fun set, felt a little short, might have had something to do with all that rum & sugar. I should have had more.

Speaking of rum & sugar, despite having my glasses on, something was up with Rob's face. From my spot, I couldn't tell if it was a moe.jito fueled hallucination or not, but in certain lights it looked like Rob was sporting a mustache! In other lights-- not so much, which is when I thought the rum & sugar was toying with my brain. But, no-- it's all true-- ROB HAS A MUSTACHE. Or at least he did- he's been growing one for the Movember Prostate Cancer Awareness & Fundraising Month (donate to Rob's mustache here). It's pretty awesome and perhaps it's morbid curiosity, but I hope he keeps it a while longer. Description-wise, I'm torn between choosing the direction of the vibe of the mustache-- there was either a Redneck Trucker or an FDNY thing going on, but it's still in it's very early stages and it would be interesting to see how it matures. MUSTACHE!

For SET II, we relocated to a little nook on al.side, and sacrificed the FOH sound for a sheltered speaker (earplugs zone), closer view, and less elbows. And a fucking FANTASTIC Set. Billy Goat > a suuuuuper evil and ridiculously dark Tubing the River Styx -> The Pit. I never get sick of the boys belting this out. The room bubbles with toil & trouble. YOU LOVE IT. Letter Home was the oldie time raggae-ish version, very sweet. A delightful Spine -> Buster -> Haze (w/ Rob on vocals, which I like, not that I didn't like Al on vocals, cuz I did, but it changes the whole tone of the song which was an interesting switch). Encore was another dose of evil: Akimbo. Earlier in the night someone had asked me why Chuck is Satan, mid-way through Akimbo, I tapped him on the shoulder, pointed at our beloved Dark Lord, and screamed, "THAT'S WHY!!!"

A kickass moe. show -> Sullivan Hall for late night Floodwood (Al & Vinnie's bluegrass project) action. Their Brooklyn show in October was during ALDS Game 5, which is why I couldn't make it. In hindsight, Floodwood would have been the less depressing choice, but it didn't happen-- so I was psyched for the chance to do some late night Floodwooding post-moe.. I didn't realize just how late of a night it would be. The show didn't start til after 2AM (blame has been pointed at the venue for making us stand on line for like a fucking hour before opening the doors). By that point, I was too damn tired to care about the show. Knowing Saturday night was gonna be another late night, I gave myself a 3AM cutoff and enjoyed the portion I was there to see. Floodwood are great, it was a fun show, a little mellow for the fighting-exhaustion phase I was in, but still enjoyable. Andy Falco also sat in with Floodwood. At 3:05AM, someone offered me Molly. No. Uh... Thank you? It was Sleepytimes.

Also, I burnt the roof of my mouth on Joe's Pizza. It's wasn't the first time and it certainly won't be the last. Sometimes, you just can't wait another minute.

SATURDAY, 11/26/11

The moe.jitos continued to flow on Friday. With no opener, moe. hit the stage an hour earlier, which would help pace us through what was surely going to be a loud, Freedom-Loving, Flag-Eating, all-nighter. Also, yes, the rum & sugar. El Herno tried to buy a new bumper sticker, but could not, as moe. were not allowed to sell stickers that night. Is this a venue-policy? What possibly could have happened? Ha!

After a 15 second Think Tank, we noticed that the 3rd floor was open and booked it upstairs-- just in time to secure one of the only GREAT spots in the venue-- 3rd floor, center rail! A great view, with great sound, at Terminal 5. BIZARRO! Shit. Yeah. There was no reason to wander around. And I mean for serious-- how fucking psyched were we? SO FUCKING PSYCHED. NIGHT 2.

Set I was great, Blue Eyed Son with Al on Mandolin was a sweet highlight. Big World -> Ricky Marten -> a HUGE Lazarus, which-- apparently they added a verse and are calling it "The Bones of Lazarus" now, but--- I mean, come on-- it's a duck, it's a dog, whatever, fuck you! MUSTACHE! GIANT DISCO BALL!

I was super pumped for Set II, annnd they started with Blue Jeans Pizza-- meh. Time to wander. This really only ended up proving once again, that when Terminal 5 is crowded, there are barely ANY good spots to see the show. I was back upstairs by the end of the voluminous and expanding Puebla (I like) -> to enjoy a fucking ridiculous, muscle-flexing, amphetamine ridden, Brent Black. The drum solos were brilliant and playful. Vinnie was out of control. Rob's bass solo was loud and bouncy. Good stuff. The middle of the set was great, but Rebubula hypnotized the room -> Where Does the Time Go? to tug at the heartstrings -> the triumphant ending to the love fest that is Rebubula. At one point, when the music and lights got low, the glowing blue LED beacon on Rob's pretty new bass, lit up the entire room. "The brightest things in the room at this moment, are Rob's balls."

They Encored with Together At Christmas, which was cute, but Christmas Season drives me fucking bonkers and I'm already sick of it, so... Thank the little baby Jesus for She Sends Me, cuz it brought the energy way back up and it was a stellar way to end the night! moe. fucking rocked Terminal 5. At least from where I was standing, they were able to eliminate the cold, industrial, emptiness of T5, and replace it with great vibes and that patented moe. love. Mad skillz.

We piled into the Quad Laser and shot down to Sullivan Hall to be abused by 3 men in capes and Mexican Wrestling Masks. Not the weekly League. It was time for Ha Ha the Moose. MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE!!!!!!

From start to finish, the crowd seemed a bit too drained and too exhausted to come up with any creative insults to hurl at the mysterious Trio. There were a lot of "FUCK YOU!" 's and "YOU SUCK!" 's. But nothing along the lines of "HEY GUANO, WHY DON'T YOU STRETCH OUT THAT MASK OVER A WATERMELON AND LET IT SIT IN THE SUN BEFORE A GIG?" or, "YO JEFF VON KICKASS, LOSE THE STILTS, WE ALL KNOW YOU'RE AN ALBINO PYGMY!" and of course, "HEY SLUDGE, NICE PANTS, ASSHOLE!" Just some suggestions for next time, kids.

Ha Ha the Moose worked through some of their greatest hits, including, but not limited to: The Magnum P.I. Theme song, the surf guitar til your face bleeds Thirsty Carbunkle, Mr. Her, Ha Ha the Moose (the most classic of all), Devil Toad (the most face melting of all), Donkey Show (the most romantic of all), Redneck Trilogy, The Magnum P.I. Theme song (again). Despite the crickets chirping away, to add insult to injury, Ha Ha the Moose Encored. Don't Fuck w/ Flo was loud, messy, pretty fucking great-- and of course, Simple Mind's smash hit off the Breakfast Club soundtrack, Don't You Forget About Me. Especially appropriate because earlier in the evening, D.Mighty was reciting Emilio Estevez's monologue about taping Larry Lester's ass cheeks together. It was meant to be!

This night, Ha Ha the Moose tested the patience of even the most devout Ha Ha the Moose fan, and for that, I applaud them. Or rather, "MOOOOOOOOOOOSE!!!!!!" I can't believe we've been putting up with this shit for over a decade. And giving them money!!! Dr. Guano's Moostache was a fantastic addition to the Ha Ha stage. I would totally inspect his moostache... in the name of freedom. MOOOOOOStache!

I can't promise it'll happen again, but I actually really enjoyed a 2 nighter at the worst venue in NYC. moe. rocked Terminal 5. The post-show shows were stellar. And fantastic music with great friends is a always a killer formula for success. It all added up to a sweet (rum & sugar?) adventure that left me pondering a moe. NYE, which won't actually happen cuz I'm not driving to Maine, but ponder-- sure. The temptation is there.

moe. (& Floodwood & Ha Ha the Moose), 11/25 & 11/26/11, Terminal 5 (& Sullivan Hall): 9 HUZZAHS!!! MUSTACHE!!!!!!

The Royal Family Ball, 10/2/10, Terminal 5, NYC

Royal Family Ball, 10/2/10, Terminal 5, NYC
Soulive, Lettuce, Nigel Hall and special guests John Scofield, Talib Kweli, Big Sam, Christian Scott, Maurice Brown, & The Shady Horns, + many more (To be honest with you- I lost count.)

Ha ha, ball!

Only a special occasion would get me to set foot (feet) inside Terminal 5 again. There's very little I like about the venue. Horrible sight-lines inside a generically industrial building with atrocious sound and the eery feeling you're standing in a death-trap. That said, when Mark texted me to go see the Royal Family Ball last week, a great lineup and good friends weren't enough to win me over. However, the words "all access" were. Perhaps I just needed to experience Terminal 5 like an Important Person rather than Some Regular Douchebag.

But first, dinner. And if you're out of the way over yonder in midtown West, that's reason enough to get some dinner at Daisy May's BBQ. Mark and I enjoyed our feast on the front counter.

from North to South: pulled pork sammich, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, pulled chicken sammich, sweet tea.

Then we headed over to Terminal 5 where we were made to stand on line with The Normies / Regular Douchebags (GASPS)! What is this? "Very Important People don't stand on lines, Mark."

The music started really early and we missed Nigel Hall's set for BBQ- a way good cause (did I mention the mac & cheese?). He would undoubtedly be jumping onstage throughout the night, so that eased the sads.

When we walked in, Terminal 5 was pretty packed and Lettuce already had the place getting DOWN. John Scofield came out and jammed for a few songs. Nigel Hall & Talib Kweli also came out and got the crowd nice and riled up.

Some drunk chick was raging-psyched and decided to explain to me (unsolicited) that "This is awesome and Soulive aren't anything like a stupid jerkface jamband and shouldn't be associated with that kind of shit^." I politely disagreed and decided not to point out that the band onstage at that moment was actually Lettuce. It's funnier that way. It was time to relocate.

Please note, the only reason I *did* get to see (most of) the stage for this set was because we were upstairs, adjacent to the stage, holding the black curtains open so we could watch. It was a pretty cool view, but who wants to hold a 70 foot velvet curtain back for 3 hours? Certainly not an Important Person like myself.

I couldn't see OVER, so I tried to see UNDER.

No, I had better things to do- namely, drink tequila out of thimble sized florescent orange shot glasses and wait for the perfect moment to snag an empty spot on the rail for the Soulive set. I've been to Soulive shows where I can't see the band and it's upsetting/traumatic. As it happens, Soulive hit the stage and *YOINK*. Spot secured. It was that easy. Great view too, but right next to the floating speaker stack. Sacrifices. Around the 3rd song my ear filters went in. Love those things!

Soulive played 3 or 4 songs off the Rubber Soulive record before inviting the extended Royal Family onstage for the rest of the night. The lineup was quickly switching off and basically starred everyone listed on the poster at one point or another. The size of the horn section fluctuated per song, sometimes 3, sometimes 7. At all times were they great. John Scofield took the reigns on a few solos and Nigel Hall rocked the vocals. It was a brilliant stage full of music.

And then Soulive invited another special guest onstage-- Warren Haynes, for Under A Bad Sign. Warren totally fucking shredded it while he and Nigel Hall split the vocals. It was a magnificent bluesy punch to the gut. Now that's a fucking cameo!

They completed the night with a James Brown medley, starring Nigel Hall, who took it over the edge and whipped the crowd into an absolute frenzy. Well done, Sir!

The typical Terminal 5 breakdown: shitty sight-lines, overpriced drinks, dodgy/uneven sound around the room, black lights in the bathroom (why?). There's apparently a roof deck now, but I didn't check it out. As far as having an All Access pass went, it was easier to move around and I can guarantee you it was the only reason I got to see any musicians with my own eyes. Also, the coat-check girl was kind of a @#%$ and I witnessed that without even having a coat to check. If I were a more judgemental person, I'd probably venture to guess that if I wore that much red lipstick and cut myself for fun, I'd probably have a shitty attitude too.

I have seen Soulive go from one of their very first shows in 1999, at a memorably sticky-floored sold out Club Metronome in Burlington, VT ($3 cover?), to being the heart and soul of this giant crazy night of music- The Royal Family Ball, 11+ years later. They've built an Empire and it fucking rocks! Though, sometimes I really miss the suits and short hair. Holla.

The Royal Family Ball: Soulive, Lettuce, Nigel Hall and special guests John Scofield, Talib Kweli, Big Sam, Christian Scott, Maurice Brown, & The Shady Horns + etc., etc., etc., 10/2/10, T5 (still bleah), NYC: 7.5^^ HUZZAHS!

moe., 2/13 & 14/09, terminal 5, nyc, ny

moe. (and lynch), 2/13 & 2/14/09, terminal 5, nyc, ny

Let me start off by saying right off the bat that Terminal 5 is the worst venue in the city. Maybe even in the greater Northeast (along with strong contender Tune Inn, in New Haven, CT*). Here is an approximated re-eactment of the IM conversation with el Herno the day these moe. dates were announced:
eh: spring moe. dates- 2 shows in nyc
lg: OOOOOOOH!!!!! awesome!
lg: as long as it's not at terminal 5.
eh: it's at terminal 5.
lg: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
lg: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
lg: NO NO NO!!!!!!
lg: WHYYYYYYYYYYY??????????????
eh: it can't be that bad.
lg: DAMN YOU DERHAK!!!!!!!!!!!! DAAAAMNNN YOUUUUUUU!!!!!

My repulsion of Terminal 5 stems from a Ween show in '07. Since that experience I have actually not seen some acts as they roll through town simply because I hate that venue- that includes the Beastie Boys, Cake, & Les Claypool. I am getting angry just thinking about the place right now.

Anyways, those fucking assholes decided to play 2 shows at Terminal 5 and I considered going to Denver to see the Fillmore shows instead. But I bought the damn tickets, cuz it's moe. and how can I miss an nyc show? So, moe.'s return from hiatus for me was bittersweet: excited to see them for the first time since moe.down, but had to deal with Terminal 5 to do it. I went between giddiness and disgust for months and had severe bouts of nausea as the dates approached. The only plus to Terminal 5's location in the middle of nowhere (or as Lisa described it, "this is where people disappear from"), is it's proximity to Fusion, a chill little bar that serves fresh cocktails and has a back patio- making pregame moe.jitos totally possible. So fuck yeah on that.

night.One:
I met up with the running crew [el Herno, Lisa, Melissa, her friend Dave (Dan?), and Craig (his first moe. show! He was rightly scared as we had told him that moe. were going to gang rape him.).] and quickly downed 2 moe.jitos. Really quickly. Way too quickly. We sang "Do the Hustle" and headed on over to the venue. Craig saw two undercovers busting two hippies across the street and we got on line. The security people have gotten much nicer since the nazi search and seizure days of the Ween show when I had an Advil confiscated, but they are definitely still there to drive the cattle through the front doors. Let's talk a little bit about logistics here for a second- when setting up a bar or a venue, what would be a convenient location for a coat-check? Up a narrow staircase on the 2nd floor on the other side of the bar and bathrooms? Yes, that makes perfect sense. Okay! They did add a few flat panel screens that hang above the railing which I suppose helps if you want to watch the band you went to see live on a tv screen. Also, I would imagine they block some of the taller patrons' views.

We ran right into Pete and his wife Sara who had scored some rail space which was totally sweet, but those fucking "cutout" tables they have against the rails are just a tease. Like, "you're here, you're at the rail, but you still can't see, you must just love sucking my cock." It was nice to see the boys, but the show started out pretty slowly. They got NYC out of the way immediately, All Roads Lead to Home, Moth... Let's get right to this SOMP -> Spine transition- it didn't work so much. They should seriously consider not doing that again. Sometime around now is when the two kids next to us turned and said, "are you on anything because the lights are doing something really weird right now." "I'm high on Rob Derhak", was my response. During setbreak we ran into Matt Campbell but he had to jet to go defend their rail space so we would try and meet up Saturday night.

The second set is when the evil started coming out, they needed it now more than ever. Gullo also found us but not after standing on the floor and taking some awesome pics. It was a pretty solid set with some of the heavier tunes like McBain, SOMP, Timmy- but a really nice surprise was Widespread Panic's, "Space Wrangler" which everyone seemed to enjoy. Vinnie was fucking slamming and Al was going pretty nuts too- though we couldn't see him unless we leaned over the railing. The Meat encore was fantastic. It was amateur hour upstairs with the crowd though, there were some real assholes that kind of invaded our area and they were pretty rude taboot. The general consensus seemed to be set 1: mediocre at best / set 2: getting there. We hoped the momentum would carry through to the 2nd night. And we were headed down to the floor in an attempt to get a better view. On the walk out of the venue there were- no joke- 3 or 4 tanks set up along 56th street. Are you fucking kidding me? Craig survived, we're not sure if he liked it though.

crowd pic by gullo, click here for his gallery... I'm on the upper left balcony about 4 people in, green shirt.

Right after the show we headed down to the Ace of Clubs to see Lynch play their cd-release party. These guys are totes solid and I picked up the new album. They were rockin' out and everyone in the crowd was lit the fuck up- wow. We're talking dangerous territory about an hour in. It was around then I decided I needed food badly enough to leave... and also when the bathroom was being used primarily for coke rather than peeing. "TAKE YOUR DIRTY HABIT INTO PUBLIC" I announced, "I NEED TO FUCKING PEE!!!"

lynch at the Ace of Clubs

night.Two:

Started off similarly at Fusion, where we were joined by Stacey, and due to our determination to stake out territory on the floor, time constraints would limit me to 1 moe.jito before we trekked over to the venue. We scored some land near the stage, al.side and sent Hern upstairs with our coats. We would bust heads to stay close if we had to. Lisa had barely seen al. the night before and she was in a vicious fucking mood. Also, we had Pete the Enforcer with us and worked out a hand-signal to flash if we needed help- the 'batoosey'. We made friends with the people around us and formed alliances to help keep our ground safe for short people. We never found Matt and his crew.

Pete the Enforcer

They definitely carried the momentum of the night before's set 2 & encore. It was pretty awesome. There were some dicks in the crowd but for the most part everyone was cool and more importantly Lisa was able to watch the vein in al.'s head pulsate every time he got really going- which was a lot, cuz he was on FIYE-YAH for both these shows! I may have liked Blue Jeans Pizza, but I'm still not completely sure. Waiting for the Punchline was especially appropriate as we were mere blocks from Sony's old offices and they kicked it's ass upside down and backwards!

A very strange thing happened during Happy Hour Hero, which was I was grabbed on both upper arms by a tweaked out gobi carrying a fly swatter trying to push past me, to which I said, "get your fucking hands off me." "chill, babe" was his reply. "No, seriously dude. Get your fucking hands off me right now." but he wouldn't let go, so I quickly made a judgement call which was "is this guy tweaked out enough to hit a girl? and how many of the boys standing here will hold him back if he tries to?". I was indeed in a hell-raising mood when I walked through those front doors that night... I gave him a shove backwards. Which was exactly about when he flipped his lid, got quite animated, and started calling me a bitch, etc. As he got in my face both Lisa and I frantically started flashing the "batoosey" sign in the air trying to catch Pete the Enforcer's eyes, but it was NO USE! There were just too many people separating us at that point. So I'm standing there as this guy is screaming at me and I realize a giant circle has cleared around us, he's jumpy & tweaked and I'm staring & laughing a little wondering why I had to fuck with him but at least it was an entertaining story-- and this gobi is IN THE RED (never turn your back on a wook gone rabid)- luckily & happily, some dudes that we were standing near grabbed the guy (who says chivalry is dead? thanks, boys.) before he was escorted out by security who would pounce upon him like SPIDER MONKEYS... And Lisa and I are just standing there, staring at each other before we bust out laughing hysterically, as did al. who enjoyed the entire scene taking place at his feet.

Now, in honor of this very special episode of a moe. show with lynn, lynnguppy.blogspot.com is proud to present this...

Public Service Announcement.

KNOW YOUR WOOK

There are certain things all wooks have in common but sizing up identifying factors in the confronting wook can be essential to your survival. Their eyes are always tweaked and their stench might be identifying but try your best to ignore it- you must go beyond these basics to assess the situation-at-hand. These four steps may one day save your life:
  1. Hair: is it trim? dreads? recently washed? Lack of hygiene can indicate a death wish and financial situation. Is there product in that hair?
  2. Weapon: a balloon? a glowstick? a broken bottle of jack daniels? Wicker basket (can indicate goo-ball supplies)? If Hunter S. Thompson has taught me anything it's that a flyswatter might indicate Mescaline.
  3. Missing Clothes: No shirt? No pants? No Shoes? Sometimes lack of clothes will make them more aerodynamic and/or infectious, take this into consideration before altercation.
  4. Glisten: Have they recently showered? (probably not) Does their skin have more of a glossy or matte finish? Are there stickers (this could also indicate goo-ball supplies)? Homeless or just on tour? (good indication of fragility/state of mind)

So, remember kiddies- those 4 factors: H.W.M.G. or Just remember this easy phrase: Horrible Wooks & Mega Gobis... It could save your life!
... this has been a Public Service Announcement brought to you by lynnguppy.blogspot.com
... the more you know!

She Sends Me & Yodelittle were awesome. I really enjoyed Faker--- I heart Faker- though, Rob really might consider learning the lyrics already. Is this when the disco ball came on or was that Kids? Whichever one that was- it was an odd and awkward moment for the giant disco ball. I got a larf out of that. For the encore al. sang After Hours (a Velvet Underground song) solo which I have to admit I don't remember... and Mexico, which I do remember, because it was fabulous. Mexico always gives me such an uplifting feeling and I've got good memories associated with it, so it made me smile. Actually, I don't think I stopped smiling most of the night- including the gobi-attack. Man I'm glad he wasn't a chimp. He totally could have been. That would have been bad but I probably wouldn't have fucked with a chimp. You just don't fuck with a chimp.

look at those vicious feet!

After the show we went to use the bathrooms upstairs which was around the time some douchebag started smoking a cigarette and blowing the smoke directly into the fire alarm. Oddly enough, we had been talking about what a death trap Terminal 5 is and that there aren't enough exits- AT ALL. Like, in a really really bad way- the place is dangerous. We hoped with all our hearts that it wasn't a real fire and peed anyway. Of course when we went to find Hern he was gone, he had trampled about 30 people on his push out the door when the alarm went off. I found $10 on the stairs, gave $5 to the guy directly in back of me and then went and put it towards a poster. As we walked towards 11th ave the FDNY showed up. Not bad but I think they could do a lot better. Oh, and also, the tourscum element on the sidewalks was really just lame. Those people should go achieve bisco elsewhere.

moe. 2/13 & 2/14,Terminal 5, NYC. There are a lot of factors in this one and actually the fair way to do this would be to do band and venue separately, but T5 is just gonna get a 2 huzzahs... instead of a 0, only cuz I didn't get my ass beat down by some rabid fucking wook douchebag. The place reminds me of a County Correctional Facility. The band- 8.75 HUZZAHS- cuz the 2nd night was super fucking strong and it was great to see them chillaxed.
